Takapau School
Takapau School
We are a full primary school for learners in Years 1–8, located in the rural community of Takapau in Central Hawke’s Bay, approximately 20 kilometres south of Waipukurau. Our students come from both the township and the surrounding rural area.
Our school provides a welcoming learning environment where students are encouraged to grow, learn and participate across a wide range of experiences. Our values of respect, relationships, responsibility and resilience guide how we learn, interact and work together as a school community.
We acknowledge Ngāti Kahungunu as the iwi of the wider Hawke’s Bay region, and the hapū associated with Rākautātahi Marae, including Ngāi Tahu (Ngāti Kahungunu), Ngāti Mārau and Ngāti Rangitotohu.
Our Vision - A Community of Confident Connected Active Learners.
Our Core Values - Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Relationships.
